The theatrical performance ''Sur les traces de la Corrivaux''  is part of a weekend of historical activities involving over a hundred volunteers, actors, extras, entertainers, reenactors, and musicians.

This unique play commemorates the execution of Marie-Josephte Corrivaux, a native and citizen of Saint-Vallier. It presents the true story of her trial, execution, and the enduring legends that still capture the collective imagination. You’ll discover the tragic fate of this woman found guilty of murdering her second husband and hanged in 1763 at Buttes-à-Nepveu—now part of the Plains of Abraham, near the Martello Towers and the Joan of Arc Garden. The show blends moments of humor and solemnity in a striking setting.

Presented in collaboration with the National Battlefields Commission, the performance returns for its 12th edition on Saturday, August 23, at 8 p.m. at the Saint-Vallier multifunctional center. A pre-show animation with actors and extras will take place starting at 7:15 p.m. on the church forecourt.

A true journey into history! An enriching, unique, and unforgettable experience!
