Enter Martello Tower 1 and explore its three floors. Using a tablet, you'll discover the history of Quebec City's Martello towers and learn more about the architecture, military engineering and living conditions of the military billeted in the towers.

Discover in real time historical animation overlaid on the decor of the Martello Tower 1, a vestige of advanced defensive fortifications.

  • Mobility: the Martello Towers are not accessible to people with reduced mobility. The virtual tour presented in the video allows you to discover the interior.

  • Purchase tickets online or at the Museum's reception desk
  • From June 19 to September 7, 2026: Free admission for youth aged 17 and under, and 50% off for visitors aged 18–24 as part of the Canada Strong Pass.
  • Discounts cannot be combined.
  • Except for the Canada Strong Pass, discounts are only available when purchasing at the reception desk of the Plains of Abraham Museum.
  • Admission is free for all on July 1 (Canada Day), November 11th (Remembrance Day) and March 17 (Anniversary of the National Battlefields Commission).
  • The fees of the National Battlefields Commission may be adjusted annually, on April 1, due to increases in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or other factors
