Join generals Wolfe and Montcalm as they recount the key moments of the siege of Québec City, and discover the strategies used by both armies. Then, in a friendly competition, become a soldier for a day, performing military manoeuvres led by the generals. Learn the discipline, camaraderie and energy required of any good fighter of the time. Run, move and react to the beat of the drums and the generals’ orders, on the very ground where the famous Battle of the Plains of Abraham was fought.
Accessories: interactive whiteboard, wall map of the territory in 1759–1760, regimental flags, drums, officers’ uniforms, and vests in the armies’ respective colours.

The activity can easily be adapted for groups of people with diverse learning needs or disabilities.

- Up to 280 participants at a time, divided into three groups.
- Two guides per group.
- More than half of the activity takes place outdoors, weather permitting.
- Wear weather-appropriate clothing and walking shoes.
- A dining room is available upon request.

The activity can be adjusted to the length of the class period.
The activity takes place indoors and is slightly different. In addition to the generals’ presentation of the events of the siege, it includes a drum drill and a military manoeuvre competition adapted to the space available.
Minimum fees apply and/or travel expenses may be added beyond a 50 km radius.
