Quebec City, Tuesday, August 26, 2025 – The National Battlefields Commission (NBC) is proud to announce that the 2025 summer season at the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand (EBB) ended on a memorable note, with a total attendance of 34,600 people—up from last year despite the cancellation of some shows due to bad weather. This keen interest confirms the EBB as a must-see for Quebec City residents and visitors.
Unforgettable nights and acclaimed artists
One of the season’s highlights was without doubt the closing night on August 23 with Patrick Norman and Nathalie Lord, who enjoyed the biggest crowd of the summer with 6,500 people. The tribute to Queen by Yvan Pedneault on July 26 drew 5,000 spectators, while the Génération Crooners night on July 31 thrilled nearly 4,000 music fans.
Especially popular were the last two weeks of July. The Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand has clearly become a key venue for the summer holidays.
Successful family morning shows
Families, too, came in droves. The August 9 morning show, starring Arthur the Adventurer, drew a crowd of nearly 1,000 people. This was a peak for the 2025 family activities, which entertained hundreds of children and their parents.
A site more accessible than ever
The 2025 edition prioritized making the site accessible to everyone and diversifying the audience, notably people with a mobility impairment. One and all could fully enjoy each show. The closeness of La Maison Smith, with its extended business hours, made the spectator experience even better by offering a quality food service in a unique setting.
A free, inclusive, and unifying cultural experience
From June 19 to August 23, the EBB presented 16 free shows, mainly on Thursday and Saturday nights, as well as four family morning shows. By promoting cultural diversity, by supporting the local Indigenous scene, and by continuing to make entertainment accessible to everyone, the EBB has become a model for inclusion and cultural vitality.
What about next year?
Thanks to this success, the Edwin-Bélanger Bandstand will be back in summer 2026, and ready to offer a new line-up of equally vibrant shows.
