Travel back to 1812 and discover the daily lives of British soldiers stationed in a Martello tower in Québec.
Under the orders of a British officer, students take part in games, competitions and interactive scenarios inspired by military life at the time. Muskets, a wooden horse and period objects help students discover the training, responsibilities and living conditions of soldiers.
Set inside an authentic Martello tower, this interactive historical activity gives students a hands-on understanding of military life in the early 19th century and the defensive role of these fortifications.
Accessories: muskets, wooden horse and period objects in an authentic decor.
Accessibility
- The Martello Towers are not accessible to people with reduced mobility, due to the stairs with many steps.
- Visual impairment: the activity takes place in low light conditions.
- The space is tight and can be noisy.
- The activity can be adapted for groups with diverse learning needs or disabilities.

- Ratio: 30 students/guide.
- Please note that Martello Tower 1 does not have any sanitary facilities.
- A dining room is available upon request.

Free admission for six accompanying adults.
