Job Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations coordinator, the seasonal worker is responsible for maintaining the beauty of the site. The successful candidate will demonstrate a combination of manual skills.
As guardians of this historic urban park and its unique heritage, NBC employees work to make it a welcoming, inspiring, and inclusive space. Many activities (exhibits, special events, commemorative events) are offered to an incredibly diverse clientele from all walks of life.
Primary Activities
- Complete manual jobs that do not require a specialized tradesperson.
- Maintain roads, grounds, and buildings and perform housekeeping tasks.
- Collect waste, load and unload materials.
- Perform regular repairs and maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of electric and manual tools, equipment, and motor vehicles.
- Apply occupational health and safety regulations.
Employee Profile
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence.
- Very good coordination and precision for using manual, electric, and power tools and machinery, and for driving vehicles.
- Excellent physical fitness and endurance to lift and carry furniture, equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of WHMIS is an asset.
- Basic concepts of building maintenance is an asset.
- Basic concepts of landscaping is an asset.
- Well-developed sense of teamwork.
- Positive and communicative attitude.
- Attention to detail.
- Good initiative, judgment, reliability, flexibility.
- Resourcefulness, sense of responsibility, independence.
- Open-mindedness and flexibility.
- Works safely and prudently, and has good physical fitness.
Employment Conditions
- Job 1 and job 2, from April 7 to November 6, 2026, Monday to Friday;
- Job 3, from June to September 6, 2026, Wednesday to Sunday, this position includes housekeeping duties;
- 40 hours per week;
- Salary ranges from $24.61;
- Social benefits depending on the period of employment;
- Free parking provided;
- Uniform provided;
- 2026 season: early April to early November.
