Each year, September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.

On September 30, 2024, the National Battlefields Commission unveiled two artworks by First Nations artists in a new installation on Cap Diamant.

This year, to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, visit the site for dialogue on Cap Diamant, inaugurated in 2024. This site features two striking sculptures by Wendat artist Ludovic Boney and Haida artist 7IDANsuu Chief James Hart. Accompanied by a guide from the National Battlefields Commission, uncover the meaning behind these magnificent works of art and the symbolism of a place that bridges the East and West of the country through artistic expression.
