The last attack on Québec City

Discover the history of this campaign alongside speaker Luc Nicole-Labrie and a witness of the time, Marie Deland, an innkeeper. The conference explores the American invasion of 1775, one of the first battles of the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783).

Topics include Arnold’s expedition leading up to the Battle of Quebec on December 31, 1775, and the tensions experienced by the population during the conflict.

Biography

Luc Nicole-Labrie

A historian and historical mediation coordinator for the National Battlefields Commission since 2007, Luc Nicole-Labrie has an academic background in history, tourism, and culture. He has contributed to numerous educational activities, exhibitions, conferences, and guided tours on the events surrounding the Battles of the Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy, as well as the history of the site.

Marie-Noël Grenon, aka Marie Deland

A graduate in theatre from Cégep Limoilou and holding a bachelor's degree in cultural animation and research from UQAM, Marie-Noël has been working in theatrical and roaming animation since 2007. She later specialized in historical animation, developing multiple concepts and writing various performance scripts. She joyfully joined the team at the Plains of Abraham Museum in 2021.

"Performing in animation is like acting in a play with a scene partner who has never read the script. It gives the artist and the audience a unique freedom that only animation can offer."
